DIY Santa Salt Dough Ornaments!

This is my favorite DIY this season so far! It's super easy and an adorable keepsake :)

Salt dough recipe:
1 cup salt
2 cups flour
1 cup warm water

Combine salt and flour and slowly add in the warm water. Knead into a ball until it's a doughy texture. Mold some into a smaller ball (just enough for your child's hand to fit) and then roll out so it's about 1/4 inch think. Place your child's hand on top and press so it makes an imprint. Don't forget to use something like a straw to punch out a hole at the top so you can add a string to tie onto your tree! Once you're happy with your results, bake at 200 degrees for about 2 hours. Let them cool before painting with acrylic paint. I used Modge Podge to seal the paint so it lasts longer!

Have fun and happy holidays!

Polar Express Movie Night!

The Polar Express is one of my favorite Christmas books and movies so naturally I had to create a family movie night -- hot chocolate included!

I set up this hot cocoa bar for us all to make our hot chocolate before the movie started and included one of my free pennants! These ticket printables can be found from Thread Mama but I have some free ones as well :)

Have fun with your own Christmas movie nights!
